"I went to Malas yesterday for small boho braids with color and length, and let me just say it was 10/10. I recommend forsure. I found videos of their work on TikTok and was sold. I called the number, and she told me I could come right now. That's exactly what I did. Braiding hair was included, and she can even provide Boho curly pieces as well. I asked if I could mix 3 colors for my braids and they executed exactly what I wanted. My hafufir was washed, blow dried, and braided soooo quickly. Maybe 4 hours. If my hair was washed and blow dried before coming it would've been even quicker. I will be back for all my braid services. The braiders were so friendly and just beautiful inside and out. I had 3 braiders at one time. lastly, the chairs were so comfortable. they were so big and plush which is a plus for a braid service. "My visit was a my 1st time. Based upon their website I was expecting a nicer looking facility. The inside looked and felt unclean. Not sure the floor had been swept and definitely not mopped in a while. My appointment was at 7 am. First in the shop with my braided. As she entered and turned on the lights a few creepy crawlers were making they way across the room. I was there already so I took my seat and kept my feet up on the chair's foot rest. The staff was very nice . I really like the work my braided did. I got medium box braids and she styled me right. She was very fast. My braids were on point, looked fresh and polished. Were very tight. I think I'll go back knowing I have to be on the lookout for bugs. It might have been a onetime thing."

"There are A LOT of braiding shops out there, thru the years I have been to quite a few, usually just ONE time, never a repeat customer. Unique, I went maybe three times only because I was close to being 100% satisfied, but the third time..well my hair was horrible! Based on the reviews for MALA I found her shop. I had recently paid 125 at Anointed at Eastland Mall, owner said she specialized in people with Alopecia, the only thing she specializes in is taking people money. My "weave"lasted less than two weeks( she slicked my hair down with gel..put a cap on it AND then wrapped my whole head with "edge" paper and then proceeded to sew the hair onto the paper) and the not-anointed owner did not want to make it right--well, MALA is the real deal. My hair is alopecia in one spot and bout an inch everywhere else...she truly has anointed fingers..the braiding and sew in is perfect...not feeling any distress or tightness. Like the review I read who stated her hair was short --it is 100, Mala is the best! Wish I had found her 1 month ago, I would have more dollars in my pocket. Continued success Mala African Hair Braiding!"

"Ok, so let me start off by saying Mala is AMAZING!! My hair is about an inch on the top and less than an inch on the sides. She was able to braid my hair (micro braids) and they did not hurt when she was done! She was very honest when I met her. She stated that they may not last 8 weeks, because my hair was so short, but that they would be very nice once she got done. I am a very picky person and I'm very hard to please. I will not go to anyone else to braid my hair. I 110% recommend Mala to braid your hair. You will not be disappointed."
